Our beautiful performing arts center would not be what it is today without the vision and passion from two of Walhalla’s most valuable citizens, Jean Phillips and Maxie Duke. As educators, both ladies held a very special place for this building since they both started teaching here in the 1960s. After the building was vacated, time took its toll and in 1993, the ladies knew that without restoration, it would be beyond repair. After 10 long years of fundraising and elbow grease, the ladies reopened our doors in 2003. We have been giving the community a place to enjoy quality entertainment ever since. Without these wonderful ladies and a handful of other folks, this beautiful historic building would be only a memory in our Walhalla history.
Please help us honor our founders by donating today as part of our 3 month Legacy Campaign. Our goal is to raise $10,000 to help with ongoing costs of restoring this historic building. Come check out our Founder’s Room for your next meeting, party, or event!
